Incubator Road Safety Project:
The purpose of the project is to contribute to the reduction of road crash death and injuries of Ugandan school going children to more than a half by 2030.
Specific objectives include; to increase road crash information around 2 schools in Kampala City for evidence-based interventions; to increase the capacity of pupils, teachers and parents of the targeted schools to demand for their safe mobility rights through petitions to the authorities by December 2021
Project Activities
- Collection and analysis of road crash data around the 2 school zones in the Kampala city to generate evidence-based information to support the advocacy for speed reduction around school zones.
- Organizing a round table meetings all aimed at discussing the review of speed.
- Mobilization and engagement of targeted schools, surrounding communities and key stakeholders.
- Preparing and signing of a petition.
